Who's behind the NDC Security agenda?


Stefán Jökull | @stebets
Stefán Jökull has been a professional programmer for over 20 years, although he wrote his first BASIC program on an old Amstrad CPC 464 way back in 1986. He works at Have I Been Pwned remotely from Iceland where he focuses on improvements and new features.
Stefán is also a Microsoft MVP, a member of the .NET Foundation, and specializes in all things .NET with a focus on performance, security, and analytics/telemetry.
When he's not working, he enjoys time with the family, working on OSS software, building Lego sets and having the occasional beer when meeting fellow developers.

Kenneth Arnesen
Kenneth is a software developer with a strong background in .NET, working primarily with backend systems and modern web applications. He has professional experience building production systems using ASP.NET, minimal APIs, Blazor, and SQL Server, with a focus on clean architecture, security, and performance.He has worked on commercial projects involving authentication, payment integrations, and data-heavy applications, and has a strong interest in practical, defensive security. Outside of work, he is involved in building and supporting an esports team, and enjoys gaming, hardware tinkering.

Lamisi Gurah
Lamisi is an experienced software engineer with main expertise in Java and open-source technologies. She has spent large parts of her career building backend, test and integration solutions for the public sector, banking and finance industries. In recent years, Lamisi has served as a Director, IT Lead and Staff Engineer, driving initiatives around secure SDLC frameworks and tooling, DevOps platforms, and developer productivity. Most recently, Lamisi has been focused on enabling AI capabilities at DNB, combining technical leadership with a passion for innovation, AI and security.

Niels Tanis | @nielstanis
Niels Tanis has got a background in .NET development, pentesting and security consultancy. He is Microsoft MVP and has been involved in breaking, defending and building secure applications. He joined Veracode in 2015 and right now he works as a security researcher on a variant of languages and technologies related to Veracode’s Binary Static Analysis service. He is married, father of two and lives in a small village just outside Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

Sindre Breda
Police officer turned computer forensic investigator, turned analyst/developer. Sindre started his career as a street cop that quickly switched to computer forensics/mobile forensics with key focus on online child abuse.
From 2018 he worked at the Norwegian "National Criminal Investigation Service", more commonly known as Kripos.
At Kripos he worked with analyzing data that the commercial forensic toolkits did not parse/present, most actively in the investigations of the ransomware attack against Norsk Hydro in 2019. Currently working as a security analyst at Defendable

Erlend Oftedal | @webtonull
Erlend has worked as a developer and security consultant for over 14 years, trying to build and break many different types of systems. He spends some of his free time on security research and open-source tools, and is the main author behind retire.js - a free and open-source scanner for JavaScript. He is also the chapter leader of the Norwegian OWASP chapter.

Martin Ertsås | @martiert
Martin Ertsås is a software developer working for Cisco Systems in Norway on their Telepresence Hardware Endpoints. His main interests are C++, Linux, Security, Embedded Systems, and Developer Happiness. Martin enjoys digging through new code to unravel how it works or spending time improving a tool or process to increase the happiness and productivity of those around him.

Patricia Aas | @pati_gallardo
Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo. Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years of professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Philippe De Ryck | @PhilippeDeRyck
Philippe De Ryck helps developers protect companies through better web security. His Ph.D. in web security from KU Leuven lies at the basis of his exceptional knowledge of the security landscape. As the founder of Pragmatic Web Security, Philippe delivers security training and security consulting to companies worldwide. His online course platform allows anyone to learn complex security topics at their own pace. Philippe is a Google Developer Expert and an Auth0 Ambassador for his community contributions on the security of web applications and APIs.

Einar Otto Stangvik | @einaros
Einar has been building and breaking computer things since the mid 90s. Unable to stick to any single technology for long, he’s tinkered with anything from game development to network drivers. The last 8 years have been spent at VG, where he’s contributed to advanced data investigations, story presentation and newsroom security.

Kjersti Sandberg
Kjersti Sandberg is the founder of ProgramUtvikling AS and has organized NDC from the very beginning. Her daily job is with the professional areas of sale, marketing and business development. Her role within this year`s agenda committee has been to liaise with speakers and present good ideas.
